series FRP membrane housings are widely used in RO water treatment systems. It has a working pressure ranging from 300 psi to 1200 psi. Product Technical Advantages
1. Superior Corrosion Resistance
The FRP material endows the housing with inherent corrosion resistance. The fiberglass and epoxy resin, formulated and cured through a special ratio, exhibit excellent chemical stability against air, water, and dilute acids, alkalis, salts, oils, and various solvents. The smooth inner wall, coated with a special anti-corrosion layer, effectively inhibits the adhesion and erosion of seawater, microorganisms, and other media, ensuring absolutely no corrosion issues over long-term service.
2. Outstanding Pressure Endurance and Structural Stability
The housing is manufactured using a computer-controlled automated impregnation and winding process, with the barrel, head, and groove areas undergoing rigorous ply design and structural optimisation. The finished product withstands over 100,000 cyclic pressure tests, and its burst pressure reaches six times the design pressure. The brine-side opening has been optimised to meet the pressure requirements for four side ports on a single head.
3. Excellent Thermal Insulation Performance
At room temperature, the thermal conductivity of FRP material is only 0.15–1.36 W/(m·K), approximately 1/200 that of metal. This characteristic effectively isolates external temperature fluctuations from the reverse osmosis membrane elements inside, ensuring stable system performance under varying ambient temperatures.
4. Broad Compatibility with Membrane Elements
The 8040 fiberglass housing offers strong versatility and is fully compatible with major international and domestic RO membrane brands, including but not limited to: DOW/Filmtec, Hydranautics, GE, TORAY, CSM, Saehan, Qinsen, Huitong, and all other standard 8040 membrane elements.
5. Reliable Sealing Design
The housing adopts a double-O-ring axial sealing structure with food-grade EPDM seals, achieving a leakage rate of less than 0.01%. The end caps are available in either clamp-type or bolted quick-release configurations, facilitating easy on-site installation and maintenance.
