Seawater Desalination Equipment HN-SWD-10
The seawater desalination unit processes seawater by passing it through multimedia filters and cartridge filters, then pressurizing the water with a high-pressure pump to force it through reverse osmosis (RO) membranes, producing fresh water with a TDS value of no more than 500 mg/L. This skid-mounted equipment mainly consists of feed water booster pumps, multimedia filters, cartridge filters, high-pressure pumps, RO reverse osmosis membranes, chemical dosing systems, piping and valves, operational parameter display controllers, electrical control cabinets, and cleaning water tanks

The scarcity of freshwater has long restricted the development of islands, ocean-going vessels and offshore projects. Leveraging mature RO membrane separation technology, Haina Environmental Protection’s seawater desalination equipment directly takes seawater as raw water to produce freshwater that meets applicable standards on-site, delivering stable and sustainable water supply solutions for various offshore scenarios.
1. Product Process Principle
Raw seawater first undergoes pretreatment in multimedia filters and security filters to remove suspended solids, colloids and other contaminants. Afterwards, a high-pressure pump pressurizes the water to pass through seawater-specific RO reverse osmosis membranes for efficient salt removal, ultimately generating qualified freshwater with TDS ≤ 500mg/L.
The complete set is an integrated skid-mounted unit. It consists of a feed booster pump, pretreatment units, high-pressure pump, RO membrane assemblies, automatic dosing system, pipeline valves, online operation monitoring instruments, electrical control cabinet, membrane cleaning water tank and other supporting components. The system completes seawater purification in one stop and can be rapidly commissioned after arrival at the site.
2. Core Product Advantages
2.1 Intelligent Automatic Operation, Easy Maintenance & Energy Saving
Equipped with a programmable automatic control system, the equipment runs fully automatically. The central control system collects, monitors and stores all operational parameters in real time with visualized operating status. Built-in logic protection optimizes energy consumption, balancing efficient water production and energy conservation while greatly cutting manual labor costs.
2.2 Modular Skid-mounted Design for Efficient Commissioning
Developed and manufactured in standardized modules, the compact skid-mounted unit occupies a small footprint. Large-scale civil engineering is not required, shortening the construction cycle. The whole unit allows integral hoisting and transportation, enabling fast connection and commissioning upon delivery to project sites to speed up production launch.
2.3 Comprehensive Specifications & Customized Scenario Solutions
A full range of standard models covers diverse water production capacities. We optimize system configurations and tailor equipment according to on-site seawater quality, installation space, power supply conditions, water standards and other working conditions to satisfy diversified water supply demands.
2.4 Stable & Mature Technology to Reduce Long-term Operating Costs
The multi-stage pretreatment system protects reverse osmosis membranes and improves the system’s fouling resistance. The supporting standardized online membrane cleaning system regularly restores membrane performance, extends membrane service life, reduces consumable replacement frequency and controls long-term operation expenses.
3. Application Fields
✅ Water Supply for Residents on Islands and Coastal Villages & Towns
Applicable to remote islands and coastal settlements. Free from reliance on freshwater transportation from land, the system provides a steady supply of domestic water to meet residents’ daily needs.
✅ Water Supply for Ocean-going Vessels and Fishing Boats
Suitable for cruise ships, ocean carriers and fishing vessels. Freshwater can be produced at sea, saving storage space for fresh water on board and extending navigation and operation cycles.
✅ Offshore Oil & Gas Platforms and Offshore Wind Power Platforms
For offshore drilling platforms, offshore wind power facilities and other offshore engineering projects. It supplies domestic and basic process water for offshore staff to sustain stable offshore industrial operations.
