Plastic filter housing, also known as plastic cartridge filter housing or plastic precision filter, consists of an UPVC, PP, or PVDF housing and a filter bag, melt-blown filter cartridges, or high-flow filter cartridges inside. The housing features a stable structure, strong environmental adaptability, and durability.

It is mainly installed after multi-media pretreatment filtration and before membrane filtration equipment such as reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration. It is used to filter out the residual trace suspended solids, colloids, microorganisms in the water, as well as fine materials (such as tiny quartz sand, activated carbon particles, etc.) after multi-media filtration, to ensure the water filtration accuracy and protect the membrane filtration element from damage by large particles. It has certain price advantages when compared with stainless steel filter housings and FRP filter housings.

Principium Operativum
The raw liquid enters the filtration sac via the inlet. The filtration sac employs minute pores to mechanically filter the raw liquid. Under pressure, the filtrate passes through the sac and exits the housing via the outlet into a designated container, while impurities remain trapped inside the sac. Over time, operational resistance increases progressively due to accumulation of intercepted materials. When the pressure differential between inlet and outlet exceeds the normal operating value, the sac must be replaced. The filtration unit resumes operation immediately after sac replacement.
